This week, we are featuring fashion blogger, Natalie Pinto! Natalie & her sister, Erika, started The Fashionably Broke blog to inspire girls everywhere to achieve a fashionable lifestyle, on any budget. Meet Natalie!
What inspired you & your sister to start “The Fashionably Broke” blog?
The first we ever knew of a blog was finding Cupcakes and Cashmere. We couldn’t stop checking her site every day and we found ourselves feeling almost jealous of what she was doing. I then realized blogging encompassed two of our favorite things – photography and fashion – so we decided to just start our own! We also loved that it was something we could do together.
How would you describe style? How would you describe your sisters style?
Natalie: Minimal, Flirty, Fun
Erika: Classic, Sporty, Edgy
Where do you find inspiration for your blog posts?
Magazines, Pinterest and other fashion and lifestyle blogs are all great sources to get the juices flowing!
What other blogs (fashion, food, lifestyle, etc.) do you follow obsessively & why?
Damsel in Dior, Peace Love Shea & Always Judging are some of our favorite style bloggers because they are really great at keeping their content fresh and unique, while also giving you a small sneak peek into their everyday lives. They also do a great job of keeping you interested by sharing different content on their social media than their blogs, so they do a great job of making you want to follow them everywhere.
What is your favorite trend for the SS15 season?
This Spring and Summer we’ve been huge fans of the boho trend – we’re loving the earthy colors, fringe, and distressed denim.
What is something you would never leave your house without?
A good bag and a good pair of shoes. We’re a huge fan of basics, like a plain tee and jeans, but it’s your accessories, like your shoes and bag, that really let your personal style shine.
What would you wear from UNIONBAY.com for a day in the sun?
I love the Stormy Lorie Henley – It’s a great twist on a basic, white tee. The cut-outs in the back make it so summery, plus it’s like built in AC! The Delaney Shorts are another favorite and they come in so many different, fun colors.
